Elmworth Construction was founded in 1979 and has been building on Vancouver Island since 1981. Over four decades, we’ve delivered residential, commercial, and development work with a steady, practical approach — and we’re still here to stand behind it, long into the future.

Bruce Muir

Founder & General Manager

Bruce brings a rare blend of hands-on building experience, UBC site planning training, and real estate development prowess. That perspective helps teams make sound decisions early — before scope, approvals, and cost drivers get away from the plan.

Mike Swanston

Construction Manager

Mike is a journeyman carpenter who progressed through the trades at Elmworth into project leadership. He’s known for steady site coordination, strong relationships with subtrades, and a practical focus on quality and sequencing.
